Door of Perception (hereafter DOP): Dorien Tatalas, sole proprietor of Door of Perception and owner of the courses on this website. Dutch Chamber of Commerce no: 69946345. Practice address: Hoogte Kadijk 155 in Amsterdam.
Participant: the individual 18 years of age or older who purchases a course through DOP's website.
Course: one of the e-learning programs offered by Door of Perception through this website.

Participation in the course is at the participant's own risk. DOP will not be held liable in any way for any indirect or direct damages incurred or any physical or psychological injuries resulting from participation in the course or from information on her website.

The participant follows the course entirely at their own risk and before enrolling, should check for any medical or psychological risk factors that may apply to their situation. A list of the most common risk factors is provided clearly on the webpage containing the course description, in the publicly accessible part of the website.

It is the course participant's responsibility to consult their own (family) physician, therapist or specialist for expert medical or psychological advice regarding safe participation in the course.

The participant is responsible for their own medical condition, physical as well as psychological. Neither the course, nor DOP is responsible for the medical and psychological condition of the participant. This responsibility lies at all times with the participant themselves.

DOP's websites and courses contain links to Internet websites and online materials operated by third parties. These sites and materials are not monitored by DOP and DOP is not responsible for the content of these sites.

DOP is not liable for any claims or damages of any kind, from participants or anyone else, resulting from decisions or behavior resulting from the information on DOP's website or in any of her courses. This includes, without exception, any direct, indirect, specific, incidental or consequential damages.

DOP is not liable for the loss or damage to computer equipment, software and/or data resulting from the use of the course or by uploading or downloading any material.

Enrollment in a course is done by registering through the e-learning platform Learnworlds, where the participant is directed after following the registration instructions on the course page.

By enrolling, the participant confirms to have read and agreed to the terms and conditions.

The participant is enrolled in the course after completing its payment via PayPal, Stripe or Ideal. Refund or reimbursement is not possible under any circumstances. This also applies in the event that there appear to be risk factors applicable to the participant's situation.

After enrolling, the participant receives a confirmation e-mail containing a link to his personal e-learning environment.

In principle and unless otherwise stated, the participant shall retain unlimited access to the course, for as long as DOP continues to offer the course under the same conditions.

DOP may discontinue admission to the course if these terms and conditions and/or the courses' rules are not respected by the participant. In such a case, the participant is not entitled to any refund of the purchase amount.

If the participant cannot or no longer wishes to participate in the course, they should notify DOP and they will be disenrolled.

In the event of force majeure, DOP may decide to cancel the course.

The entire content of the course is the intellectual property of Door of Perception and is protected under the copyright law. No part of the course may be shared with third parties without the written consent of Door of Perception.

This copyright applies to all elements of the course: the texts on the website, the texts in the e-learning environment, the videos, downloadable pdf files and audio files.

The entire course content is for personal use only and may not be copied, reproduced, transmitted, broadcast or otherwise exploited without explicit written approval by DOP.

Information may be downloaded by participants for personal use only. Any other activities, such as copying or distributing information or materials may be done only with the consent of DOP. Also, the information and logo on the website are the property of DOP and may not be copied or distributed without permission.

Only the documents that are explicitly made for sharing with the tripsitter may be shared by the participant with the tripsitter.

Exploitation rights of some course sections may be purchased.

The participant may only view the course in their domestic setting. They are not permitted to show the course and its attachments in gatherings or groups.

Participants are not allowed to share their their login information with others and are responsible for keeping their login information confidential.

The participant is at liberty to view the course as often as they wish. However, excessive usage, significantly more than average among participants, may be labeled as fraud by DOP and may result in termination of the participant's access to the course(s).

The participant must refrain from any activity that may compromise the integrity and safety of DOP. If risky behavior is detected, the participant will be contacted to discuss it. Depending on the severity of the situation and possible repeat occurrences, DOP may decide to suspend or deny further access to the course on a temporary or permanent basis. Deliberate introductions of harmful material, or improper attempts to gain access to the server on which DOP has stored the data, are criminal offenses, which DOP will report to the police and in which case DOP will disclose the participant's identity to them. 

Participants are personally responsible for securing their personal information, by taking a strong password and never writing down their password anywhere. Never provide the password to third parties.

The information the participant shares with DOP and in the private community will be treated confidentially. The private community is not a default part of the course but may be featured in some courses.

The participant is required to keep confidential the information shared by DOP and other participants in such online community areas.

DOP will take all reasonable steps to safeguard all personal information and treat it with care in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation Act.

DOP safeguards the privacy of the participant and handles the data provided by the participant with care. A detailed description of the data collected and the time limit for its destruction can be found in the Privacy Statement on this website.

DOP is a member of the "Guild of Guides" - a professional association for psychedelic guides working with legal psychedelics in the Netherlands. This implies that DOP adheres to the Guild of Guides' code of conduct and ethical guidelines, and that a confidential counselor is available through that organization for participants who feel they have been improperly treated by DOP or who wish to discuss other complaints with an independent confidential counselor. Deelname aan de cursus is op eigen risico. DOP kan op geen enkele wijze aansprakelijk worden gesteld voor eventueel indirect of direct opgelopen schade of lichamelijke of psychische schade door deelname aan de cursus of door informatie op haar website.

De cursist volgt de cursus geheel op eigen risico en dient vóór inschrijving zelf te checken of er medische of psychologische risicofactoren van toepassing zijn op zijn/haar/hun situatie. Een overzicht van de meest voorkomende risicofactoren staat duidelijk vermeld op de website met de cursusbeschrijving, in het publiek toegankelijke deel van de website.

De cursus is zelf verantwoordelijk om de eigen (huis)arts, behandelaar of specialist te raadplegen voor deskundig medisch of psychologisch advies omtrent veilige deelname aan de cursus.

De cursist is zelf verantwoordelijk voor zijn/haar/hun medische conditie, zowel fysiek als psychologisch. Noch de de cursus, noch DOP is verantwoordelijk voor de medische en psychologische conditie van de cursist. Deze verantwoordelijkheid ligt ten allen tijde bij de cursist zelf.

De websites en en cursussen van DOP bevatten links naar internet websites en online materialen die door derde partijen worden beheerd. Deze sites en materialen worden niet door DOP gecontroleerd en DOP is niet verantwoordelijk voor de inhoud van deze sites.

DOP is niet aansprakelijk voor claims, of schade van wat voor soort dan ook, van cursisten of van iemand anders, door beslissingen of gedragingen die het gevolg zijn van informatie op de website of in de cursus van DOP. Dit houdt zonder uitzondering directe, indirecte, speciale, incidentele of gevolgschade in.

DOP is niet aansprakelijk voor het verlies of schade aan computerapparatuur, eigen software en/of data als gevolg van het gebruik van de cursus of door het uploaden of downloaden van enig materiaal.

Inschrijving voor een cursus geschiedt door een aanmelding via het e-learning platform Learnworlds, waar de cursist terecht komt na het volgen van de aanmeldinstructies op de cursuspagina.

Door zich in te schrijven verklaart de cursist kennis te hebben genomen van de algemene voorwaarden en hiermee akkoord te gaan.

De cursist is ingeschreven voor de cursus nadat de betaling is voldaan via PayPal, Stripe of Ideal. Restitutie van het aankoopbedrag is in geen enkel geval mogelijk. Ook niet als blijkt dat er toch risicofactoren op de situatie van de cursist van toepassing zijn.

De cursist ontvangt, na inschrijving, een bevestigingsmail met hierin een link naar diens persoonlijke e-learning omgeving.

De cursist behoudt in beginsel en tenzij anders vermeld wordt, onbeperkt toegang tot de cursus, zo lang DOP de cursus onder dezelfde voorwaarden blijft aanbieden.

DOP kan de toegang tot de cursus stopzetten indien deze voorwaarden en/of de huisregels van de cursus niet worden nageleefd door de cursist. In dat geval heeft de cursist geen recht op restitutie van het aankoopbedrag.

Als de cursist niet kan of niet langer wil deelnemen aan de cursus dient zij DOP daarvan op de hoogte te stellen en wordt zij/hij uitgeschreven.

In geval van overmacht kan DOP besluiten om de cursus te annuleren.

De gehele inhoud van de cursus is intellectueel eigendom van Door of Perception en is beschermd onder het auteursrecht. Geen enkel onderdeel van de cursus mag worden gedeeld met derden zonder de schriftelijke toestemming van Door of Perception.

Het auteursrecht is van toepassing op alle onderdelen van de cursus: zowel de teksten op de website, de teksten in de e-learning omgeving, de video’s, downloadbare pdf bestanden en audio bestanden.

De gehele inhoud van de cursus is alleen bestemd voor persoonlijk gebruik en mag niet worden gekopieerd, gereproduceerd, verzonden, uitgezonden of op enige andere manier geëxploiteerd worden zonder uitdrukkelijke schriftelijke toestemming van DOP.

Er mag alleen informatie worden gedownload door cursisten voor persoonlijk gebruik. Elke andere activiteit zoals kopiëren of verspreiden van informatie of materiaal mag alleen met toestemming van DOP gedaan worden. Ook de informatie en het logo op de website zijn eigendom van DOP en mogen niet gereproduceerd of verspreid worden zonder toestemming.

Alleen de documenten die expliciet gemaakt zijn om te delen met de tripsitter, mogen door de cursist worden gedeeld met de tripsitter.

Van sommige cursusonderdelen kunnen de exploitatierechten kunnen worden gekocht.

De cursist mag de cursus alleen in huiselijke kring bekijken. Het is niet toegestaan de cursus en toebehoren, in gezelschappen te vertonen.

De cursist mag zijn/haar/hun inloggegevens niet delen met anderen en is zelf verantwoordelijk voor het geheimhouden van de inloggegevens.

De cursus is vrij om de cursus zo vaak te bekijken als gewenst. Excessief gebruik, veel meer dan gemiddeld onder cursisten, kan door DOP worden aangeduid als fraude en resulteren in afsluiting van de toegang van de cursist tot de cursus(sen).

De cursist dient zich te onthouden van activiteiten die de integriteit en veiligheid van DOP in gevaar kunnen brengen. Wordt risicovol gedrag gesignaleerd, dan zal contact worden opgenomen om dit te bespreken. Afhankelijk van de ernst van de situatie en eventuele recidive kan DOP besluiten om verdere toegang tot de cursus al dan niet tijdelijk te ontzeggen. Opzettelijke introductie van schadelijk materiaal of het op oneigenlijke wijze toegang proberen te krijgen tot de server waarop DOP de gegevens heeft opgeslagen betreffen strafbare feiten, waarvan DOP aangifte doet bij de politie en waarbij DOP de identiteit van de cursist aan hen bekend zal maken.

De cursist is zelf verantwoordelijk voor het veiligstellen van zijn persoonlijke informatie door een sterk wachtwoord te nemen en zijn/haar/hun wachtwoord nooit ergens te noteren. Verstrek nooit het wachtwoord aan derden.

De informatie die de cursist deelt met DOP en in de besloten community zal vertrouwelijk worden behandeld. De besloten community is geen standaard onderdeel van de cursus maar wordt in sommige cursussen aangeboden.

De cursist dient de informatie die DOP en de overige cursisten delen vertrouwelijk te behandelen.

DOP zal in redelijkheid alle mogelijke stappen nemen om alle persoonlijke informatie veilig te stellen en zorgvuldig te behandelen in de zin van de wet op de algemene verordening persoonsgegevens (AVG) worden bewaard.

DOP waarborgt de privacy van de cursist en gaat zorgvuldig om met de door cursist verstrekte gegevens. Een gedetailleerde omschrijving van welke gegevens worden verzameld en op welke termijn ze worden vernietigd is te vinden in de Privacyverklaring op deze website.

DOP is aangesloten bij de “Guild of Guides” – een beroepsvereniging voor psychedelische gidsen. Dit betekent dat DOP de gedragsregels en ethische richtlijnen van de Guild of Guides volgt en dat er via deze organisatie een vertrouwenspersoon beschikbaar is voor deelnemers die zich onjuist behandeld voelen door DOP of andere klachten willen bespreken met een onafhankelijke vertrouwenspersoon.
